In its 21 years, the Serbian Film Festival has become an iconic, national event touring all major Australian cities – Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth.
Like in the previous years the Festival is bringing the latest films from Serbia to HOYTS Cinemas across Australia from 14 th to 24 th March 2024.
This year the film lovers will have the opportunity to see 5 contemporary films from the latest Serbian production adding to well over 125 Serbian feature and documentary films screened throughout the past twenty years at the Festival in Asutralia.
On the program this year the Festival includes for the first time a film from the Yugoslav Kinoteka Archives, a 1960 cult comedy “Ljubav i Moda” (Love and Fashion) (1960).
Connecting the Serbian community in Australia to the language and cultural production of their homeland, Serbian Film Festival has established itself as one of the highlights of the annual events calendar.
The Serbian Film Festival, a registered non-for-profit incorporated body, is grateful for the generous support from our valued sponsors, including: HOYTS Cinemas, BeoGroup Australia, Vesti Newspaper, Voice/Srpski Glas newspaper, The Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, The Consulate of the Republic of Serbia – Sydney, as well as many dedicated community groups and individuals who assist the Festival every year.
